Meeting Minutes

7/19/2015

Attendance:Steve Dressman, Tony Bell, Ron Edmondson, Brian Lynner, Brian Hastings, Erik Miller

As required by the Stow YES Softball Bylaws, a regular organizational meeting was held in Stow. The meeting was called to order at 8:04pm. Items discussed and actions taken were as follows:

  • No minutes from previous meeting
  • Financial updates – May, June Financials, Bank Balance
  • Treasurer not in attendance.
  • Team account balances – 12u, 14u, 18u & Fever
  • Treasurer not in attendance.
  • Tax Return Status
  • Treasurer not in attendance.
  • Ron Edmondson – Recommend as Treasurer
  • Agreed to be treasurer.
  • Steve has motioned to make Ron Edmondson treasurer.
  • Second by Brian Lynner, all approved.
  • Spring League – any unfinished business?
  • 1st place trophies have not been passed out because the coach was on vacation
  • Only 2 games in A league not played
  • Only 1 game in C league not played
  • Steve to send note out to coaches for equipment return. All equipment will be returned directly to Steve in person along with the key. Steve will send the deposit upon receipt.
  • Randy Carlson and Kopszak still have pitching machines
  • 14U CVEL still has equipment and still playing
  • Fall Ball Status – teams , commissioners , schedule, coaches meeting needs to be scheduled, game balls & scorebooks purchase
  • A League – 4 teams (18 individuals)
  • B League – 5 teams (11 individuals)
  • C League – 7 teams (17 individuals)
  • Need to form final teams for Erik to have schedules by the 1st of August
  • Need coaches meeting at Oregon Trails – August 4th, 5th or 6th (Steve to set up, Ron Edmondson will run the meeting)
  • Need to determine how many new players to add to insurance (by end of this week).
  • Need to re-organize the Fall rules (apply any Spring changes)

  • Registration is now closed.
  • High School Fields will be closed on Sept. 21.
  • Scheduling:
  • No games will start after 6pm.
  • Umpire payments
  • Payments will come in
  • Final fundraising checks needed
  • Ohio Fever updates – coaches, tryouts, etc.

  • 14U: Pam Rumler has been chosen

  • Need help on tryouts from board members

  • Erik to contact Mandy on potential pitching clinics

  • Field fee schedule for high school fields
