Position: Founder, Creative Director

  • A small design build business based in Fife, providing architectural and contract services for small garden offices, workshops and garden studios, using salvaged materials.
  • As the founder I now only design and pass plans to contract services in order to carry out construction. I have marketed and fully administered this business.

David Millis Architects, Brisbane, AustraliaOct 08- Apr 09

Position: Graduate Architect

  • DMA provided me with a larger challenge, to projects I had been involved in previously, involving 25+ housing developments as well as commercial work in China.
  • House type layouts, planning and presentation.
  • I worked closely with a technician as an autonomous team to present directly to our clients, delivering contemporary design using sustainable initiatives.
  • This small practice is focused on good initial design to prevent the future use of ‘add- on’ technology. This allowed me to concentrate on new materials available in the Australian market to reduce heat gain/ increase cooling and overall energy input to housing projects.
