Rev.2 of SOP 14 gives the CAD Administrator and the JTF Joint Dispatch Oversight Committee Chairman the process to make code changes without immediate SOP Committee or JTF Board approval.
AMENDS
/ RESCINDS / EFFECTIVE DATE07-27-04
APPROVED BY JTF BOARD CHAIRMAN
1. The attached 10-Code, Signal/Incident and Direct Entry/Disposition Codes are the JTF authorized and approved codes to be used statewide by the State Statewide Law Enforcement Radio System (SLERS) users and all Regional Communication Centers. The purpose of the approval and distribution of these codes by the JTF is to provide for officers' safety and ensure uniformity among all State users of the system.
2. All code changes, deletions, additions or modifications must have full JTF board approval, after review and approval of the JTF SOP Committee.
3. There is only one exception to the above provision. In case whereby an agency
has an urgent need to make changes, additions, or deletions to entry or disposition codes that only affect one specific agency or a combination of one or more agencies, they may use an expedited process for getting such changes approved. During this process, the agency may request such changes to the CAD Administrator who will review for CAD functionality. If the request has no negative CAD impact, the request will be forwarded to the JTF Tech SOP for review and approval by their committee. These changes will not require full JTF Board approval for implementation; however the changes will be added to the JTF Board's formal approval for confirmation and informational purposes as needed based on changes. Approved changes will be distributed at the direction of the Board.
4. All changes reflecting current codes will be made a part of SOP #14 by way of attachments.
