Investor Relations Officer

This positionis based in North Sydney and will be part of the Investor Services team and will report to the Associate Director, Investor Relations. The Investor Services team in New Forests oversees client relations and reporting, funds marketing and capital raising, corporate communications, research, and corporate sustainability.

This role will be primarily responsible for supporting the client services and funds marketing functions of the Investor Services team. This includes implementing and coordinating client support functions (e.g. reporting, annual meetings) and providing marketing support during fund raising campaigns (e.g. drafting and editing presentations, organising and tracking investor information, answering due diligence questionnaires).

While the role will mainly focus on New Forests' investment products in Australia and New Zealand, there is also an opportunity for this role to support New Forests' expanding businesses in Southeast Asia and the United States, giving the candidate an exciting opportunity to work with the global New Forests' team.

The Investor Relations Officer will work with the rest of the Investor Services team and play a role in supporting excellent corporate communications and client experiences.

The Investor Relations Officer will be primarily responsible for the following functions:

·  Support Investor Relations functions—Support Investor Services team, e.g. building and maintenance of presentations, organisation of client meetings and field tours, and coordinating product approval committee and marketing group meetings. The Investor Relations Officer will liaise with Funds Management, Finance, Compliance teams and New Forests' Executive Committee as needed in order to deliver client support and funds marketing services.

·  Support management of client issues—Provide timely and thoughtful responses to ad hoc investor queries, coordinating with the finance team and portfolio managers as appropriate across New Forests’ global offices. Support processes related to fund governance.

·  Coordination, management and distribution of quarterly reporting—Coordinate with Funds Management, Finance, Compliance, and Investor Services teams and New Forests’ Executive Committee to produce and distribute quarterly reports, side letter reports, and other special reports to clients. Involves report writing and editing.

·  Management of annual investor meetings—In conjunction with relevant individuals and teams, coordinate annual meetings and investor tours in Australia, New Zealand, Southeast Asia and the United States. Contribute to production of annual meeting content, presentations, and delivery.

·  Manage client portal—Act as administrator of New Forests’ on-line client portal using WordPress.

·  Manage Client Relationship Management (CRM) system—Act as administrator of New Forests’ CRM and work across the organisation to enhance its usage.

We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications:

·  1-2 years of experience in marketing, research or client relations. We have a preference for candidates who are currently working with institutional investors. Experience working in alternative assets (e.g. timber, agriculture, infrastructure, and extractive industries) and financial services would be beneficial.

·  Bachelor’s degree.

·  Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to learn and process large amounts of information quickly.

·  Must have attention to detail in writing and presentations.

·  Excellent organisational skills related to time management and project management.

·  A high degree of proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Powerpoint, and Excel). Preferred candidate will have facility to work with on-line publishing software (e.g. WordPress).

·  Must demonstrate capacity for maturity and confidence in working with peers and communicating with clients.

·  Must be a team player and work well under pressure and deadlines.

·  Preferred candidates will also have a demonstrated interest in sustainability and responsible investment.
