Transport information
ENSSIB is situated in Villeurbanne. The City of Villeurbanne is situated to the north-east of Lyon and is very well linked to the historical centre of Lyon by metro, tram, bus and taxi.
BY PLANE
Lyon has its own airport Lyon Saint Exupéry Airport which is situated 25 kms from the City Centre (http://www.lyon.aeroport.fr).
An airport shuttle “Navette Lyon Saint-Exupéry” goes from Lyon Airport to la Part Dieu railway station (gare) - 50 minutes - from where you can :
· take the tram “ligne 1 IUT Feyssine” to the campus (“Lyon 1” tram stop)
· or the underground (Métro) going to “Bellecour” station for the hotels (direction Gerland) with a change at “Saxe Gambetta” (direction Vaise).
Tickets are to be bought on the tram platform and punched when getting on the tram or bought at the underground entrance. Taxis are available at Part Dieu station.
Taxis are also available at the terminal exit. The fare should be around 50 € ; it is a 45 minutes trip from the airport to the campus.
BY TRAIN
At Part Dieu station you can :
· take the tram “ligne 1 IUT Feyssine” to the campus (“Lyon 1” tram stop)
· or the underground (Métro) going to “Bellecour” station for the hotels (direction Gerland) with a change at “Saxe Gambetta” (direction Vaise).
HOTEL to the campus
A coach transfer will be organized between the hotels (place Bellecour – the pick up point will be at the statue of Louis XIV in the centre of the place) to the campus at times that will be indicated on the agenda.
