National Agriscience Teacher of the Year

The National Agriscience Teacher of the Year award recognizes teachers who have inspired and enlightened their students through engaging and interactive lessons in the science of agriculture. Teachers who have previously been selected as National Finalist or awarded the National Agriscience Teacher of the Year award are ineligible to apply.

Eligibility: All active NAAE members, except current members of the NAAE board of directors, are eligible to enter. Each applicant must have been a NAAE member the three (3) previous years or continuously since he/she began teaching. Individuals may receive the regional award only once; previous national finalists, national winners, and regional winners are not eligible to apply.

OAAE Process:

Nominate a member or yourself.

Submit this completed application to the OAAE President by the March Delegate Council Meeting. Selection of State Representative(s) will be made at the March Meeting.

Selected candidates (state winners) will be asked to complete the NAAE form available at NAAE.org, due to the OAAE president postmarked May 1st.

National winners are asked to attend the national conference held in late fall.

State winners are asked to attend the summer banquet where they will be recognized.

There may be a conference registration discount for state winners (to be decided by the Delegate Council.)
