D.  Expectations

1.  Respect all Science safety rules

2.  Treat yourself and others with kindness, dignity and respect J

3.  Be in your seat and ready to begin when the bell rings (listening to the announcements if they are on)

4.  Be an active participant in class activities

5.  Only leave the classroom if you have Ms. Lebedoff’s permission

6.  Leave all food and drinks (other than water) outside of the classroom

7.  Keep all personal electronic devices put away, unless otherwise directed by Ms. Lebedoff (If I notice otherwise, I will safely store your device for the duration of the class)

E.  Website

I maintain a class website where you can find a summary of what we’ve covered in each class, including assignments/homework, and any class announcements. A link to the website can be found on google classroom.

F.  Lates and Missed Class

·  You are expected to arrive on time to class. If you come in late, please enter quietly and find any missed work from another student/me at the appropriate time.

·  If you know in advance that you’ll miss class, please let me know as soon as possible so that we can work together to ensure that you stay up to date.

·  If you miss a class unexpectedly, it is YOUR responsibility to find out what you missed – check the website and consult a classmate to make sure you’re up to date.

**If you’ve missed a test or quiz day, you must:

1)  Provide a note from a parent/guardian excusing your absence

2)  Expect to write a makeup test/quiz the first day back (unless otherwise discussed)

G.  Homework & Extra Help

Homework will be assigned regularly and students should record their assignments in their agendas. Homework checks will be done frequently. All work is due at beginning of next class, unless a specific due date is given. If you are absent when homework is assigned, YOU are responsible for finding out what homework is due and catching up on missed work.

If you have any problems with homework, assignments or the course content, please do not hesitate to ask me for help. I am usually available before or after school and can be found in my office (Room 352) or classrooms (see website for schedule)

H.  Cheating/Plagiarizing

Copied or plagiarized work, projects, assignments, quizzes, tests, etc. will result in a mark of ZERO for all individuals involved in addition to notification of administrative staff and the counselling department. Sentinel holds a zero tolerance policy for cheating.
