Required Personal Protective Equipment: Chef jackets, aprons, hair net and chef hat.

GENERAL NOTES: No nail polish, gel nails, jewelry (including watches), cell phones, or music devices allowed in the kitchen. Hair must not be visible outside of the hair net or chef's hat.

1 / Always handle the sharp cutting "S" blade with safety in mind. A pair of cutting gloves should be worn when handling the blade. / Risk of cutting hands on blade. / All staff should be shown how to operate the unit correctly.
2 / Do not leave the machine ON when it is not processing food. / Injury to hands or fingers inside the bowl when machine is running. / Always shut off machine when processing is complete.
3 / Do not pick up the machine by the lid, bowl, cord, or bowl handle, always lift by the base. / Injury to hands and fingers if inside ethe bowl when machine is running.
4 / Do not put your hands or fingers inside the bowl. Place the bowl on the motor base, twist counterclockwise to lock the bowl in place. / Injury to hands and fingers inside ethe bowl when machine is running. / Always check for proper assemble of the machine.
5 / Place the processing blade on the motor shaft and rotate until it falls in place. / Injury to hands or fingers. / Wear mesh gloves when handling the blade.
6 / Load the bowl with solids not larger than 2 inches square and not over 3/4 full. Thin liquids approaching the consistency of applesauce may also be used. Thin liquids should not be used as they will leak. / Do not fill bowl over 3/4 full.
7 / Secure lid before operating the machine. / Allow blade to stop before removing the lid.
8 / To chop alternately press the ON and OFF buttons with a quick start/stop action. To puree, load the bowl 3/4 full and allow machine to run continuously for about 3 minutes.
9 / Tough or heavy products should be reduced in size by pulsing the unit 2 or 3 times before running machine continuously.
