Purpose of this assignment
The purpose of this assignment is to:
a)Understand the structure and aims of business organisations
b)Understand the impact of e-Commerce
c)Be able to design e-Commerce solutions
Scenario
You have completed your business studies and you are now working in a public trading company. The company is trading in commodities. You have been asked to write a paper to present to the directors of the company who are keen to go into e-Commerce.
You should introduce the subject first by talking about the aims of business organisations like the one you are working in.
Then you should introduce the impact of e-commerce on business organisation in general and your organisation in particular.
Subsequently, you have to design a proposal on the setting up of e-commerce solutions in your company.
Task 1(LO 1: AC1.1, 1.2, M1, M3 and D3)
Task 1.1: In your own words, assess an organisation’s core business functions
i)Organisations:
a)type eg private, public, voluntary, charitable business organisations;
b)aims eg profit, market share, Return on Capital Employed (ROCE), sales;

Task 3.1 After showing expected impact of e-commerce on business of the organization, you must be able to design an e-Commerce solution appropriate to your organization by taking the following steps:
