How To: Change or Reset a Known Password

Introduction

You may change your password at any time if you feel it is necessary; for example – if you know your password has been compromised.

Change or Reset Your Known Password

1.  Open Web Browser

2.  Go To: https://password.uno.edu

3.  Click on “If You Know Your Current Password and Want To Change It” Link

4.  You will be brought to a page where you will be able to change your password.

  1. Input your username (without “@uno.edu” behind it) in the first blank
  2. Input your current password in the second blank
  3. Create a new password in the last 2 blanks, making sure to meet the requirements listed toward the bottom of the page.

5.  Click Submit

6.  If all fields are entered correctly, a new webpage will appear stating that this change will take effect within the next 15 minutes.

7.  If you use the wrong current password you will receive the error message below. Please go back to step 4 and repeat the process making sure to use the correct current password.

8.  If your password does not meet the requirements for creating a new password or if you do not enter your new password exactly the same in both boxes in step 4 above, you will receive the message below. Please return to step 4, review the procedure, and re-enter a new password.
