Promotional Day at Oaklane Speedway
Oaklane Speedway’s 2016 Spring Promotional Day is almost here! We have finalized all the smaller details of the event for you so we can now pass the word along. Our Promotional Day is being held Saturday, August 20, 2016. The time will be dependent on whichever time slot you have chosen with us. If you have not picked on yet, there are still many time slots available and there is still time to sign up! For those who requested information, we were able to confirm all the details:
- Every driver will be able to race a full 10 laps with an experienced flagger instructing each lap
- Don’t worry, there will only be one child driving on the track at any given time!
- We will provide all the safety equipment necessary and a suitable car for each driver, according to your drivers age and size
- If you already drive quarter midgets please be sure to bring along your equipment. IF you do not already drive quarter midgets, please make sure you wear or bring along full length jeans and a pair of closed toed shoes or sneakers.
- Knowledgeable track officials and current drivers will instruct and help your driver
- The current drivers of Oaklane will also be running mock races so you and your drivers can see what quarter midgets are all aboutMock Race 12:30pm
- The driver must have at least one parent with them to race. If the parent cannot be present and another family member or friend is bringing the driver, they must complete the waiver form attached to this email and bring the waiver on August 20th or they will not be able to participate.
- Those who received our “Driver’s Experience” gift at 2016 Motorsports please be sure to bring your certificate to the Promotional Day. If you would like to bring a driver who did not receive a certificate from Motorsports, the price per additional driver is $20 CASH ONLY
- After each driver completes there 10 laps on the race track, they will receive a personalized certificate and they will have an opportunity to take pictures in front of victory lane with the checkered flag. Don’t forget to bring your camera; there will be lots of opportunities to take pictures of your drivers in a race car!
- Many of our experienced handlers will be around to answer any questions you may have about Oaklane as a club or the quarter midgets organization
- Finally, our snack shack will be open to everyone who would like lunch or an early dinner.
