Re: Children & Family Support Worker [North Locality]

Dear candidate

Many thanks for showing an interest in this exciting role.

Working for Sense is hard work, fun and provides tremendous satisfaction.

In Sense professionals we look for a mixture of engagement (we love working with, supporting and helping a wide range of people), values (this role represents Sense to the wider community and is a role model to our local staff) and positive tenacity (we don’t give up).

Still interested?

We are looking for an enthusiastic, committed Children & Family Support Worker to join our north locality team. This will involve the post holder ensuring that opportunities to deliver our core offer will be maximised in order to champion the needs of deafblind children and their families. The role also raising awareness of the work of Sense’s Children’s Specialist Service; as part of a national strategy to ensure we provide a minimum offer of support to deafblind children, young people and their families.

This post will entail organisation and engagement in a wide range of activities with support from colleagues in the North locality team and the wider Children’s Specialist Services team. The North locality team covers the local authority regions in Yorkshire and the Humber, North East and North West. The post holder will report to the Children & Young People Service Manager (North & Midlands)

The role is part of the national Children’s Specialist Services team; it is a great service so you will get support and guidance but will also be expected to contribute to the national plans and deliver to targets.

Still interested?

If it is not clear already this is a key role which could provide a lot of satisfaction in helping children, young people and their families to develop, achieve and make the most of their lives.

We look forward to reading your application which should evidence how you meet the person specification. The closing date for this position is midnight on Thursday 12 March 2015. Interviews are scheduled to take place on Monday 30 March 2015 in Wakefield.

Best of luck

Yours

Steve Rose
