People to People Actions and Integrated Grant Scheme for Sustainable Development

EUROPEAN AGENCY FOR RECONSTRUCTION

MINISTRY OF FINANCE OF THE REPUBLIC OF SERBIA
andMINISTRY FOR REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND PUBLIC WORKS, REPUBLIC OF BULGARIA
are seeking
project proposalsin the following priority areas: (1) People to People actions; (2)Support for Development and Implementation of Projects Directed to Improvement of Business-related Infrastructures and Safeguard and Management of the Natural Environment; and (3) Support for further capacity building in the field of co-operation between cross-border institutions and communities contributing to the cross-border social and economic cohesion
in the bilateral cross-border area of Republic of Bulgaria andRepublic of Serbia within thefollowing cross-border regions
inRepublic of Bulgaria: Districts ofVidin, Montana, Pernik, Kyustendil and partiallySofiadistrict (i.e. Godech, Dragoman, Kostinbrod, Svoge, Slivnitza);
inRepublic of Serbia:borski, zaječarski, nišavski, pirotski,jablanički andpčinjski district.
Financial assistance is provided from the 2006 Neighbourhood Programme between Republic of Bulgaria and Republic of Serbia of the European Communities.
The award of grant contracts under PHARE programme budget line BG2006/018-388.01.01 with duration of implementation of an action of more than 12 months is subject to an extension of the execution period of PF 2006/018-388.01.01 Integrated Grant Scheme for Sustainable Developmentgranted by the Commission.
The duration period will be accordingly reduced to 12 months by the CA prior to the conclusion of a grant contract if such an extension is not granted by 30 Nov. 2008.
