HostMilano, one home for the entire Ho.Re.Ca. industry
At a time in which offering a single product, even if it is high in quality, is no longer enough, the show in Milan has everything needed to create a successful business: from the base ingredients to mixes, from machines to furnishings to tableware. This event also offers an in-depth look at future trends thanks to training events. It is to take place at fieramilano in Rho from 20 October to 24 October 2017.
Milan, 20January 2017 -All for one and one for all. We are talking about today’s hospitality professionals who are faced with a clientele that wants to find everything all in one place. A quality offering; excellent, friendly service; areas that allow for tastings and experiences for those patrons that have time to linger; and fast or take-away options at all hours for those with little time to spare. These professionals include baristas, pastry chefs, gelato makers, bakers, retailers and restaurant and hotel owners. They are expected to provide “hybrid” spaces with a wide-ranging, personalized product offering in terms of food, furnishings, equipment, cuisine and the bar. Or innovations in working methods thanks to cutting-edge, multi-functional machines able to meet the varied needs of different kinds of preparations. The merging of the lines between baked goods and coffee bars as well as pastry and gelato is a global trend. And these “extra courses” on the menu – from desserts to gelato and coffee – are becoming ever more important for restaurants and hotels as well.
One show, many business opportunities
These are the reasons why the HostMilano formula is more innovative today than ever. This leading international show focused on Ho.Re.Ca., food service, retail, food, the large-scale distribution chain and the hotel industry will put on its 40th edition at fieramilano in Rho from 20 October to 24 October 2017. This formula supports vertical specialization in the various industries it focuses on – from Food Service Equipment with Bread, Pizza and Pasta to the worlds of Coffee and Tea to Bars and Vending and Gelato/Pastry all the way to Furnishings and Tableware. It also creates synergy among these areas thanks to the fact that they are all featured at the same show, allowing for constant exchange and interaction.
With more than 1,400 companies – 41% from outside Italy – signed up less than a year from the opening of the show, it promises to be a successful edition with wide-ranging international representation and great numbers both in terms of exhibiting companies as well as in terms of visitors. In 2015, visitors surpassed the 150,000 “wall.”
Sic, representing coffee
Coffee is one common denominator in the world of hospitality, and this is true today more than ever. HostMilano has welcomed this industry as part of Sic, the International Coffee Exhibition, which has brought together the entire industry (from producers and distributors of green coffee to roasters all the way to companies that make coffee machines) for 24 editions, offering up high-level innovation and training. The associations involved – Altoga; Fipe,International Hub for Coffee Research and Innovation; Scae and Wce – support this event as do exhibitors, which range from large companies to small specialty roasters. This show serves as an excellent resource for those affected by the crisis in general coffee bars who see quality, innovation and specialization as the keys for taking on the challenge posed by the modern consumer of the third millennium.
HostMilano offers the perfect vantage point for discovering the new trends in food, hospitality and retail. It is a world that becomes “real” in the pavilions of FieraMilano every two years, but it never ceases to exist and stay up-to-date, thanks to special events, the Web and social networks, in constant contact daily with the professionals that go out into the industry to make the most of new business opportunities.
