Collect

Eternal God, who caused all holy scriptures to be written for our learning, grant us so to hear them, read, mark, learn, and inwardly digest them, that we may embrace and ever hold fast the blessed hope of everlasting life, which you have given us in our Saviour Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit,

one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

Prayer over the Gifts

Gracious God, your word to us is food indeed. Receive all we offer you this day, and let your loving-kindness be our comfort, for the sake of Jesus Christ, your living Word. Amen.

Prayer after Communion

Living God, in the eucharist you fill us with new hope. May the power of your love, which we have known in word and sacrament, continue your saving work among us, and bring us to the joy you promise. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Tell me the stories of Jesus I love to hear;

Things I would as him to tell me if he were here;

Scenes by the wayside, Tales of the sea,

Stories of Jesus, Tell them to me.

5A's OF FOOD SECURITY

4. APPROPRIATE

Food is nutritious and free from harmful chemicals.

CUBA: Bishop Griselda Delcado del Carpio from the Episcopal Church of Cuba (ECC) approached PWRDF for help in promoting development and self-sufficiency in her constituency. Many people had diabetes because of poor diet. Now many of these persons grow healthy crops and take part in nutrition training.

PWRDF partner ECC has increased the capacity of community members in food production and the raising of small animals. Nutrition for families has led to improved diets and health.

Welcome to our services today. At 10:30am we welcome baby, Harry Walter Norman, son of Jonathan & Krista Babb., as we celebrate with them in the sacrament of Baptism. Today in Godly Play our children will hear the story of the Exodus. We tell this story in the Desert Box. The People of God found their way to Egypt where there was food and jobs because there was no rain where they were living. But when they got to Egypt, Pharaoh trapped them and they became slaves. One of the People, Moses, went to Pharaoh and demanded, "Let my people go!" but each time Pharaoh said "NO." Bad things happened over and over in the land but each time Moses asked to let his people go, Pharaoh always said no. Finally, something happened that was so awful it is hard to talk about. The Angel of Death took the oldest son of each Egyptian family, even Pharaoh's but passed over the Hebrew homes because they had marked their doors with the blood of a lamb. (This is where the celebration of Passover gets its name.) This time Pharaoh said yes and the Hebrews quickly packed their things, not even waiting for their bread to rise - matzo -and fled. Pharaoh changed his mind, sent his army after them but the sea opened up and let them through, closing again on Pharaoh's army. The People were free and danced in celebration. In the Bible, you can find this story in Exodus 11:1-15:21.

The hope would be would have enough so that each team would only be scheduled once every two months. There would be a Sunday afternoon training that will be no longer than two hours with The. Rev. Canon. Dr. Boyd Morgan who will lead us through this process. It will make a significance difference in the Sunday liturgy when the prayers of the people are more related to the needs and concerns of the parish and local community as well as matters happening throughout our world. This training event would take place Sunday November 26th. If you are interested please speak with Reverend Jolene directly or email her at
