Farmtech showing new products at Agritechnica 2015

At Agritechnica 2015 Farmtech (Hall 4, Booth E54) is presenting three new products:

1.  Ultrafex spreader series, from 12 to 16 tonnes gross

2.  Safe Reverse warning system for Durus 2000 tipper

3.  TDK 1300 F tandem three-way tipper with crane (not shown)

Details on Farmtech’s new products:

1.  Ultrafex spreader hauls silage and spreads solid manure

The new Ultrafex line of spreaders is designed for large farms and contract service providers. As a single-axle 12 tonne or tandem-axle 14 or 16-tonne spreader, it’s ideal for heavy farming and commercial haulage jobs, and bridges the gap between the Superfex and the heavy-duty Megafex.

Construction: The tough, self-supporting box has clear, uncluttered lines and straight surfaces.

Function: The Ultrafex uses a split 14 x 50 four-chain scraper floor for material discharge. The scraper floor is powered by a hydraulic motor, with stepless power transfer by a spur gear in an oil bath. The actual material discharge is by vertical spreading, or for silage by means of a tightly closing dump gate.

Applications: The high performance of the scraper floor and steplessly adjustable speed give the machine a wide range of uses. In addition to barn manure, it can spread other materials of widely varying consistencies and properties, such as dried sewage sludge, biogas solid manure and compost.

2.  Safe Reverse eliminates the blind spot

Backing big tippers can be dangerous. To make it safer, Farmtech has developed the Safe Reverse warning system for its Durus 2000 dump tipper.

Technology: At the heart of the Safe Reverse system is the Ebplus brake controller, rotational direction sensors and two ultrasound proximity sensors.

Function: If the tipper approaches an object within three meters while backing, the side limit lights flash and warning tones sound to warn the driver. The flashes and the tones speed up as the distance closes. When it reaches within a meter of the object the brakes come on, first in intervals and then fully. The warning signal switches to a steady tone. Once the driver changes the direction of the travel, the Safe Reverse system is deactivated.

Brake system: The Durus 2000 with EBplus has automatic load-dependent brake force control (ALB) and antilock brakes (ABS).

Overload protection: The angle sensor monitors the loading condition. A warning light goes on when the maximum rated weight is reached, preventing overloading.

The Durus dump tippers: Farmtech developed the tough Durus tipper series for year-round use by contractors and large farms. There are four basic models, with weights between 16 and 33 tonnes. The two-axle Durus 2000 has a rated gross weight of 20 tonnes with a bulk solids payload of 14.1 tonnes; empty weight is 5.9 tonnes. It needs a tractor unit with at least 90 kW/123 hp.

3.  A tough tipper with crane for field and forest

The new Farmtech TDK 1300 F tandem three-way tipper with integral Penz-6-Z loading crane is designed especially for agriculture and forestry use. Depending on the task, it can be equipped with sidewalls or wood stanchions.

Construction: The TDK 1300F features a 5.40 x 2.10 m bed and a loading height of 1.30 m, or 2.10 with attachable extender panels.

Use with sidewalls: When used with sidewalls the TDK 1300F is ideal for bulk goods like grain, potatoes and chips, as well as round or square bales. It can load and unload them itself with the crane. Bulk goods can be offloaded on three sides.

Use with wood stanchions: Equipped with wood stanchions, the TDK 1300F transports logs, beams, boughs and bushes.

Loading crane: The Penz-6-Z loading crane can turn through 410° and telescopes out to 6.79 meters. Two telescoping supports make it stable and safe in use.

Chassis: The TFK 1300F can be had in 25, 40 or 60 km/h versions for different usage profiles and tow vehicles. Its low centre of gravity and tandem chassis with reinforced parabolic springs make it very stable during travel. They also make travel easier on rough ground.
