EXAMPLE Proposal 1
Five Day Tour
Upon arrival at LeedsBradfordAirport, board luxury coaches.
Transfer directly from the airport to and start “Country Estate Visit”.
A package of morning coffee and bacon rolls on arrival, followed by a falconry display, cookery demonstration, estate tour, tour of learning to listen, lunch, wine tasting, and clay pigeon shooting.
Priced at £125.00 per person
Here guests can learn: Clay pigeon shooting at the hotels own shooting school (Inc in £125)
Off-road driving:Using qualified instructors on our off-road course this can be an adrenalin driven event for those wanting more of a challenge (This will be dependent on weather in January) and is charged at £125.00 per person extra.
Handle a falcon or an owl (included in £125)
The aviary for the Birds of Prey Centre is the converted orangery near the walled garden, a short walk from the hotel.
There are owls, hawks and falcons in residence and hotel guests can enjoy the sight of the birds being exercised every morning at the daily flying display (apart from on Tuesdays). This is open to all hotel guests and does not need to be booked in advance.
Communication skills with a horse whisperer (included in £125 –
just a demo)
The hotel has devised a programme for corporate groups that focuses on team dynamics and communication skills using horses to interpret body language and the other complex levels of communication that we employ – a truly intriguing and altogether “different” experience that corporate groups are often looking for.
Back to nature - short talk (included in £125)
Join the award winning wild food and wilderness cooking expert for a half day experience. The group will be taken into the countryside surrounding the hotel to learn about where to look, what to eat and how to harvest nature's own edible shoots, berries, roots and leaves. Skills are then taught in preparing wild food such as rabbit, trout or game at the Deer House in the parkland, which is then cooked with the wild produce harvested by the group over a wood fire, which the group will have learnt how to light using bush craft techniques. The course can be as hands on and as hearty as the group requires, and the food cooked can amount to a full meal or just tasting dishes. This is a unique bonding experience, using the natural environment to break down barriers and nurture team spirit.
Wine tasting (included in £125)
This package is aimed at the executive level guests who enjoy top level corporate entertaining and really need to know their wines. A general introduction is given to the world of fine wine (with a particular focus on any region or grape if requested) followed by tastings. Much of the tastings will be blind in order to focus the taste buds, and there will also be tastings of food with wines in order to de-mystify the rigours of choosing wine to complement a meal.
Demonstration at the famous CookingSchool (included in £125)
Cooking as a team building event is fast becoming a very popular activity, requiring full participation from all, in an environment which promotes interaction and breaks down barriers. For those looking for something new, it also offers something a bit “different” from the more obvious choice of activity.
Join the Head Chef who is available to run an event for you, or you also have the option of cooking with a celebrity chef (extra charge). This is a rare opportunity to learn skills at the highest level, and as an incentive package one that appeals across the board.
Have lunch alfresco (included in £125)
Take to the great outdoors in truly unforgettable style either in the Deer House within the parkland (walking distance), or in the moorland hut on the estate (approx 20 minute drive). A sumptuous spread will await you, including champagne, pates, terrines, cheeses and hot soup, set out with candlesticks on linen tablecloths in the very best of tradition. In both venues the views are breathtaking, and the experience second to none.
Take some spa treatments for the less energetic.
Spa treatments can be taken throughout the day by individuals at various times to suit and all priced separately depending on choice.
After the end of the day return to the hotel and make your choice from three superb dining options:
