Famous Person Project Web Page
Directions: Please follow the steps as outlined and check against the rubric to ensure that all steps are complete before turning in the completed project.
1. In this lesson you will create a web page to display your Famous Person Activity information.
2. This web page will be linked from your homepage; therefore it should have a common color scheme and should also link back to your homepage.
3. Save in your “my site” (now first initial last name) folder as your initials and the famous person’s last name (i.e. njkingjr.htm). Also make sure pictures are saved and named appropriately in the images folder.
4. Change the title of the new web page to Famous Person by Students Name.
5. Add at least 2 horizontal lines on the web page.
6. Use techniques learned to create your page (tables, links, rollovers, alignments, frames, etc.)
7. Make good use of the white space on your page by using a table constructed format (or frames/layouts) for your page.
8. Include the following information in a bulleted or numbered list: job title, education, accomplishments, and place and date of birth
9. Also include a synopsis of the person (1-2 paragraphs) and a brief reason why you chose this person (1 paragraph but not one sentence).
10. Include at least 2 images and a rollover image, appropriate to your famous person.
11. Add your e-mail address in an E-Mail Hyperlink at the bottom of the Web page as the contact person.
12. Add a hyperlink to a web site with information about your famous person and a link to your homepage (mysite).
13. Add a date line to the bottom or your page (below e-mail link, update automatically)
14. Below the dateline, enter a set of references in a table of the websites you used to gather this information.
15. Make sure you do a spell and grammar check and have a friend proofread it.
16. Check all links to make sure they are correct and work.
17. Fill out rubric, put file name at bottom and turn into the tray.
