CURIOUS GEORGE™ LET’S GET CURIOUS!

Based on the familiar characters in H.A. and Margret Rey’s classic stories published by Houghton Mifflin, the new Curious George exhibit inspires young children’s natural curiosity as they explore early science, math and engineering through hands-on interactive play. The immersive exhibit environment takes place in the neighborhood where Curious George lives with his friend, The Man with the Yellow Hat. Visitors will recognize familiar characters and places featured in the classic stories and the new television series produced by Imagine Entertainment, WGBH Boston and Universal Studios Family Productions that launched last fall on PBS KIDS. Visitors can operate wheels to help George climb a building, sort and weigh fruits and vegetables at the produce stand, use science skills to putt a hole of mini golf, climb the rocket from George’s space adventure, build a whirligig in the country, and visit the Museum within the Museum.

Animal Grossology exhibit: Laugh and learn about the (impolite) side of animal science from blood slurpers, dookie lovers and slime makers. Summer Fun Days: Any Wednesday from June 17 to August 19. Depending on which Wednesday you visit, you can make and eat your own ice cream, build a metropolis, recreate the solstice on a six-foot globe, get into the science of sound and percussion, train for a mission to Mars, make and race your own miniature boat, or try walking on a tightrope and stilts in a circus. Summer Camps: The Lawrence Hall of Science offers over 45 summer camps for ages 4 through 17. Where else could you create a chemical reaction, work with a chinchilla and build a solar car, all in the same place. Learn what summer is all about at Lawrence Hall of Science. Brilliant warriors. Artistic masters.
More than just professional soldiers, samurai of the highest rank were cultivated artists, writers, and philosophers. Drawn from the collection of the Hosokawa family in Japan — a clan with a 600-year-old lineage — Lords of the Samurai gives you a personal introduction to samurai culture. Superb examples of armor, swords, paintings, tea wares, lacquerware and more reveal how these men balanced the precision of the blade with the perfection of the brush.
