5 top tips to get the best out of iMindMap!
/ 1. Express yourself freely
Select ‘Mode’ > ‘Mind Map Mode’ to create personal, organic Mind Maps using your mouse. This flexible workspace gives you lots of creative freedom; you can change the shape and length of your branches, shift things around and even draw freehand branches!
/ 2. Speed things up
Select ‘Mode’ > ‘Speed Mind Mapping Mode? to capture ideas and notes super quickly. Using just your keyboard, you can really let your thoughts flow – simply think, type and your Mind Map will be drawn for you!
/ 3. Add lots of life with images
Go to ‘Insert’ to liven up your Mind Map with branch images, free floating images and personal sketches. As well as adding life to your Mind Map, using images will make it easier to remember and emphasise key points.
/ 4. Get flexible
You can modify the shape of any of your branches within Mind Map Mode by using a branch?s control points - click and drag on any blue control point to manipulate its shape. You can even add more control points to a branch for ultimate control - press SHIFT and click on the branch.
/ 5. One click reveals all!
Make the most of your workspace and keep yourself focused by hiding or revealing branches as you go along. Use the options under ‘Presentation’ or the + and – icons attached to branches to expand and collapse all or parts of your Mind Map. This is also great for giving presentations as you can build up your points one by one.
