Dear parents and carers,
Changes to bus timetables affecting routes 541, 543, 544 and 545 from 23rd February 2015
New Enterprise and Arriva have recently made an assessment of the number of students travelling on the bus routes to Hugh Christie. As a result, the viability of one of our existing bus routes has been called into question because of the changing home locations of our students. This exercise has affected many schools and services have been discontinued as a result.
We appreciate that many of our students depend on our bus services and it would cause significant difficulty if any of the services were discontinued.
Therefore, New Enterprise have been able to redesign the routes to maintain virtually all of our current stops with services that would all be viable going into the future.
The timetables for the new services are attached to this letter and they will start from Monday 23rd February (after half term). It is possible that your child may be catching a different numbered bus at a different time. Therefore, please check these timetables carefully and make sure your child is aware of any changes. The three buses operating will be numbered; 541, 544 and 545.
