UNICEF UK is looking for a Publishing Intern to provide support in researching statistics, information and images that will be used in our printed communications, as well as undertaking general editorial work. Primarily this entails maintaining a spreadsheet of statistics and other information related to children’s rights by keeping up-to-date with relevant publications. It also involves desk-based research on child rights issues in order to draft occasional information sheets. The Intern will proof-read publications and may also be called on to help with general office duties.
In-house training will be provided relating to this role. There will be opportunity to attend inductions, occasional lectures, briefings and events during normal working hours and in the evenings.

Core duties
- To research, collate and update statistics and other information relevant to UNICEF’s priority work areas;
- To review and produceabstracts from major publications concerning children’s rights, and produce a monthly list of key publications;
- To research and draft information sheets on children’s rights;
- To research, collect and store UNICEF photographs, as directed by the Print Editor and Resources Officer;
- To proof-read UNICEF UK’s publications, as directed by the Print Editor.
Other duties
- To assist other members of the New Media and Resources Team if necessary

- Proficient use of Microsoft Office and demonstrable good IT skills especially internet searching, Excel and word processing.
