New School Website
We are pleased to announce that we have created a new school website. You can find the website at The website will contain images of the children during their daily routines and any events taking place. There will be a calendar for important dates and most importantly the news articles will be updated by the children. The website will be driven by the children to allow them to write about topics that they feel are important.
National Tests
These took place – 3rd -10th May. Pupils from y2 –y6 were tested on Reading, Math Procedural and Math Reasoning. I would like to remind you that these tests only give a snapshot in time of pupil’s progress. As a school we will continue to look at the whole child and encourage them to develop all their talents.
Cricket
Y4 and Y5 are currently enjoying cricket coaching provided by Baglan Cricket Club. Events will take place/have taken place on the following dates:
Tuesday 25th April – school based
Wednesday 17th May – school based
Wednesday 24th May – school based
Wednesday 7th June – Mixed tournament – Baglan CC
Thursday 15th June – Girls tournament – Baglan CC
Sports Day
Sports Day will take place on Wednesday June 28th with a backup date of Friday 30th June if the weather is against us.
Foundation Phase (Infants) - 9:30- 11:00
Juniors - 1:30-3:00
Rugby/Netball
Our teams competed in the Netball(main) and Rugby(plate) semi finals on Monday of this week. Although both teams were unsuccessful they tried their best and hopefully had a positive experience. Many thanks to Mr Rees and Miss Larkman for all their help coaching the teams.
XL Wales
XL Wales visited the school on Thursday to work with Y5/6 classes on Computer Coding and Reception class on designing a vehicle to transport food. All pupils had a great time and advanced their knowledge of Technology and ICT.
