The Position

The successful candidate for the Research and Evaluation Analyst must have a deep commitment to the overall mission of the Foundation, its programs, and an approach consistent with the Foundation’s guiding values. This position will contribute to the Foundation’s goals by participating as a key contributor to the Policy, Research & Evaluation Center of Excellence through responsibilities for the organization of data collection, providing assistance in data compilation across the Foundation’s centers. The analyst will conduct literature reviews and assist the Centers with data analysis while collecting data to help evaluate external grantee program progress and outcomes. The position will be responsible for monitoring and reporting on a number of educational topics but especially those related to the Foundation’s three impact areas: Early Grade Success, College and Career Readiness, and Postsecondary Completion. Equally important, the analyst will assist in the creation of research reports, papers, presentations and other forms of communications being developed through the Policy, Research and Evaluation Center of Excellence. This position reports to the Director of Research and Evaluation. This position is located in the Phoenix, Arizona office.

The Candidate

Candidates for this position must have Bachelor’s degree in education or social sciences required with 3-5 years of experience; Master's degree preferred; Experience in education research and knowledge of preK-12 and/or postsecondary education preferred; demonstrated knowledge and experience of research principles and research design; knowledge of methodology used to collect, analyze and report quantitative and qualitative data; demonstrated proficiencies in writing, conceptualizing, analyzing and working collaboratively; experience with computer data analysis software preferred (e.g., SPSS, SAS STATA).
