ACCEPTANCE OF TEAM INVITATION

This form must be returned to your Team Coach/Manager as soon as possible to accept your Invitation to join the Southern Scorpions District Team.

Dear Parents/ students,

Congratulations on being Invited to join the Southern Scorpions District Team for the Metropolitan West Regional Trials!

Southern Scorpions representation is a stepping stone to higher honours in your sport and you stand to follow in the footsteps of numerous regional, state, national and international representatives by accepting this Invitation.

Students who accept the Invitation to join a Southern Scorpions team for the Regional Trials are subject to the conditions laid down by the Southern Scorpions District School Sport Committee (refer to Sections5.8 and Section 8 of our Policy Guidelines available on the Metropolitan West website).

These mandatory conditions and obligations include:

  • UNIFORMS:
  • The hire and use of only the approved Southern Scorpions Competition Uniform for all teams in all sports
  • FINANCE:
  • Fulfil the financial obligations of the team prior to the specified due date
  • FULL PARTICIPATION (Queensland School Sport Policy):
  • Being available for the duration of the Regional trials
  • Participate in all selected/ nominated events (Swimming, Cross Country and Track/ Field)
  • TEAM PREPARATION:
  • Attending team training sessions (as applicable)

Failure to abide by any of the conditions outlined above may result in further sanction from the Southern Scorpions District School Sport Committee and/or Metropolitan West School Sport Board including the withdrawal of the Team Invitation at any time or a period of Non-Invitation.
If a Non-Invitation period is imposed, this renders the student ineligible for all representative school sport during this time.
  • I/ we hereby accept the Invitation for my son/ daughter ______(name) to join the Southern Scorpions ______Team.
  • By accepting this Invitation, I/ we acknowledge that we are bound by the Conditions of Invitation outlined by the Southern ScorpionsSchool Sport Committee.
  • Furthermore, I/ we acknowledge that failure to abide by these Conditions may result in further sanctions, including but not limited to, the withdrawal of this invitation or a period of Non-Invitation being imposed.
