Meeting Minutes
Executive Session: Board members and Book Keeper were present, with the exception of T. Beamish.
Members Present: Liz Baker, Teresa Beamish, Lynne Hardy, Nick Matulis, Marilou Pudiak-Town, Angela Ross-Hixson, Coleen Ryan, David Smith, Diane Smith and Eric Tully.
Secretary’s Report: Not available at the time of the meeting.
Treasurer’s Report: Moved, seconded and approved as printed and circulated. Diane / David
-Moved, seconded, and approved to increase the Director’s and Associate Director’s compensation.
Director’s Report: August circulation statistics, programming and attendance, and marketing.
-A comprehensive report touting a very successful SRP. Programming will be minimal for September, with emphasis being directed toward fall and winter programming, weeding our collection, updating our website, and improving dialogue with the schools.
-90% of “Bullet Aid” received via NY State Senator Marchione. No timeline regarding the receipt of the final 10%.
Committee Reports: Building / Grounds – No formal report.
-Grant/Building Work Updates: Grant has been submitted and is under review.
-Insulation work was completed in July.
-New windows were installed on the second floor in August.
-Installation the new water softener is scheduled.
-Fuel oil has been prepaid for the season. David is to call John Ray & Sons to inquire about a maintenance plan.
Business:
-The Long Range Planning Committee provided “Values,” “Vision,” and “Mission” statements, an outline of our 5 year plan (including 7 goals and their associated objectives), a community survey, presentation/information boards, and a calendar with sign-ups for distributing the community surveys at the following organizational meetings:
