ALL High School and Middle School students are required to have piano or pre-recorded accompaniment (with appropriate playback device, extension cord if needed, provided by you, the student) if it is required for their selection. All Elementary performers are encouraged to have piano or pre-recorded accompaniment (with appropriate playback device, extension cord if needed, provided by you, the student) if at all possible; however, they may perform for adjudication without accompaniment, if necessary. As musicians, we are all aware that the accompaniment is one half of the performance, and the solo the other -please reinforce this with your students.

Students should dress appropriately for the performance(dress up); please refrain from wearing T-shirts, jeans, flip flops, sneakers, etc.

Students should arrive (30)minutes prior to performance. Students who miss their performance will not be rescheduled and will not receive a refund.

Participants should use Door #2 for entry and exit. Door #2is located on the front left side of the building. Please be aware that parking is very limited. You may be directed to park in the back of the school on the baseball fields and basketball courts. Report directly to the warm-up areas; you do not need to check in at the information table.

Students should remain in the warm-up areas (by their performance room number, located on the gym walls) to ensure that runners can locate and escort them easily to their performance room. Runners will not seek out performers.

It is the student’s responsibility to agree on a meeting time and place (warm-up area or performance room) with their accompanist before the festival day. Runners will not seek out accompanists.

Family and guests are welcome to listen to the performance but should refrain from talking and taking pictures during the performance.

Ratings will be posted in the cafeteria. Individual rating sheets will be sent directly to directors; students should not ask the judge or runner for their rating sheet.

Concessions will be sold in the cafeteria; please support the Stone Band and Orchestra programs through the purchase of refreshments.

PLAY WELL AND HAVE FUN!
