TASK: Year 10 Assessment Task-Australia in its Regional and Global Context
1. Select ONE of the following global links:
1. Political Links 2. Trade links
  1. Defence links 4. Migration Links
2. You need to research the following points:
  • The nature of the global link – main features/characteristics
  • A list of 5 countries that Australia is linked with in reference to the link chosen - include a map to show where the countries are
  • Identify a treaty or agreement Australia has signed with another country in reference to the link chosen
  • The purpose of the treaty in reference to the chosen link
  • The importance of the treaty to Australia and the other country chosen
  • TWO advantages and TWO disadvantages for Australia in regards to the link (geopolitical, economic and cultural)
3. You have to communicate your findings as a report.
4. You have to provide a bibliography – use your diary pg 16-17 as a reference of how to write a correct bibliography
Length of report: 750 words
ATTENTION: You have to use minimum 4 books and 2 websites.
Any plagiarism will result in zero.
Any student absent on the day will be given a zero unless they come to the teacher the day after with a medical certificate.
