Russound Begins Shipping New X Series Amplifiers

Russound's Most Powerful Amplifiers To Date Distinguished

By Performance, Flexibility And Front Panel Controls

ATLANTA, GA, September 20 2010 -- Russound, the #1 brand in multiroom audio, has announced shipment of its innovative new X-Series lineup of stereo power amplifiers. Featuring signal-sensing inputs and front mounted controls, the X-Series combines intelligent operation, convenient accessibility and Russound's highest powered amplifiers to date, making dual source amplification and switchingboth easyand accessible for integrators and end users alike.

"The new X-Series is perfectly in tune with today's customlandscape," said RJ Hirshkind, Vice President of Sales and Marketing. "Lower cost systems such as amplifier and volume control-based systems aregaining traction in today's market”.

Added Hirshkind: “The X-Seriescan serve as a local source applicationata great price point, and alsoprovide greater power than a typical full-on controller system. The economical X-Series amplifiers create higher volume potential for integrators, and at the same time offer higher value for consumers. We're right in the sweet spot with these new products.”

Russound's new X-Series lineup is comprised of three models that can serve as the backbone of a quality playback environment or zone. Each model features signal-sensing inputs that allow the X-Series amplifiers to easilyintegrate and operate with multiroom audio systems and home theatercomponents, or wherever local source amplification isbeing added to an existing system. All X-Series models can also be usedwith impedance matching volume controls to power multiplepairs of speakers or numerous zones, and offerconvenient user operation in any light commercial or residential environment through familiar frontmounted volume knobs.

The flagship of the Russound X-Series is the X225 ($899 MAP; pictured left), a powerhouse 2-channel model provides 225 watts per channel, rated at 4 ohms (150 WPC @ 8 ohms). The unit can be operated in bridged mode, resulting in a whopping 470 watts at 8 ohms, and features rear-panel gain adjustments for each channel, in addition to front-panel volume control. A trigger mode select switch tailors the operation for 12v trigger, signal sensing operation, or power-on controlled by power switch.

The X125 ($649 MAP) provides the same flexibility and functionality as its larger sibling in a smaller chassis, and provides 80W per channel at 4 ohms (125 watts @ 8 ohms), which is bridgeable to 250 WPC at 8 ohms. Both models are exceptionally low noise, featuring better than 93 dB of signal to noise ratio throughout the audible spectrum. The smallest of the X Series is the new X75 ($199 MAP), a compact powerhouse featuring 75 watts per channel at 4 ohms (60W per channel @ 8 ohms), and can be bridged for 160 watts at 8 ohms, all with a super clean 100 dB of signal to noise performance. The bridging ability allows the X75 to be used as a compact subwoofer amplifier, and also offers enough power for a remote zone, such as a back yard.

All three models in the Russound X-Series of stereo amplifiers are built with Russound's legendary reliability, and carry a two year warranty.
