CLSDC Activities and Events: Spring 2011

·  CLASS awards applications will be coming out this Friday. Nominations will be due on or before Friday, March 18th.

·  Think Pink game [Emory v. Chicago] is Sunday, February 13 at 2 PM. Join us for a CL happy hour during the game! Please contact Elijah Ajayi with questions.

·  Keep a look out for Outlook invites to our February and March Lunch and Learn get-togethers!

·  Save the date for the CLASS awards banquet! We will be celebrating in the Cox Hall Ballroom on Tuesday, May 3 at noon. The theme will be Cinco de Mayo! J

·  CL Book Club will be reading “Preventing Hazing: How Parents, Teachers, and Coaches Can Stop the Violence, Harassment, and Humiliation” by Susan Lipkins. We will meet on Thursday, March 10th at noon in the Longstreet / Means lobby. You can purchase the book through the Barnes and Noble website or at the campus bookstore for approx. $10 (or you can contact Lauren Dyer in Residence Life about borrowing her copy!). Please RSVP via your Outlook invite.

·  Save the date for a CL happy hour at Café Istanbul in Decatur. We will get together on Wednesday, March 9th at 6 PM. Please RSVP via your Outlook invite.

On a separate note, the CLSDC committee would like to thank everyone for coming to the holiday luncheon in December and supporting PAWS Atlanta through your generous donations. We hope you had a fabulous time!

We would also like to take the time to thank everyone who donated to our pool of door prizes: Uncle Maddio’s Pizza Joint, Willys, Athletics, Residence Life & Housing, Starbucks, Panera, Emory Bookstore, Career Center, the Carlos Museum, the Emory Alumni Association, the SAAC, Old Fashioned Foods, the DUC, OSLS, Volunteer Emory, LGBT Life, University Conferences, University Food Service Administration, Sodexho, Emory Federal Credit Union, and the Campus Life Division as a whole.
