Cell Phone Rules

Absolutely no cell phones should be seen or heard in the classroom. No cell phone photos should be taken in class. I WILL take cell phones that are seen or heard! First offense = warning, Second offense = Cell Phone Jail for remainder of class. After 2 visits to the Cell Phone Jail, your phone will spend the rest of the day in Jail. After 2 times in Cell Phone Jail for the day, your phone will be sent to your vice principal. Please note that this is much more lenient than the school policy. Remember, cell phone use during class is linked to poor performance in class, missed assignments and “not knowing what is going on” in class!

Your marking period grade will reflect your performance on tests, quizzes, homework,

class participation, and group work.

  • Grading:
  • Class Participation50% (30% labs and 20% classwork)
  • Tests and quizzes44%
  • Homework 6%

Late Work Policy:

  • You may turn in late work, but work will be marked down 10% for each day late. No work will be

accepted ONE week after the original due date.

  • Although some points are better than no points, the sooner you turn it in, the better!
  • Any work that is NOT turned in will result in a ZERO.

Class Supplies:

  • Students need a 3 ring binder for class.
  • Students need a writing utensil for class.

Without these supplies, students will be considered UNPREPARED and will not be following the

classroom expectations. This may result in a lowered grade.

I realize that breaking any or all of the classroom rules could result in a lower grade, a

parent conference, or appropriate disciplinary action.
