Registration for baseball and softball Begins March 11thand ends April 11th.

Registration for all other activities beginsMarch 11th and endsMay 2nd.

Registration formsmust be delivered to City Hall (drop-box may be used during non-business hours).

Activities may be cancelled due to a lack of registrations. Money will be refunded in such cases.

Scholarships: Limited scholarship funds are available to help children participate in Summer Rec activities. Households qualifying for the Free or Reduced Meal Program, MFIP or Medical Assistance may apply for scholarships at City Hall.

Summer Rec Ball League

Registration forms due by April 11th for ball leagues.*Baseball and Softball practice and game schedules will be distributed by the coaches once teams are set.A $15 late fee applied to Baseball and Softball registration forms received after April 11th. Players may not receive a t-shirt if registration forms are received after April 11th.

Boys Baseball ($35)

  • 8Under(T/TH evenings@ 6:30) June through July@ Elementary Field. This team is a member of the Winona County league and is designed to be the first step in an organized baseball environment.
  • 10Under(M/TH evenings@ 6:30) June through July@ Fisher Park. This team is a member of the Winona County league and is designed for the next step in a competitive environment.
  • 12Under(W/F evenings @ 6:30) June through July @ Fisher Park. This team is a member of the Winona County league. This level of play is more structured.
  • 14Under(T/F evenings @ 6:30) June through July @ High School Fields. This team is a member of the Winona County league. Games rules and regulations mirror that of a regulation baseball with few modifications.

Girls Softball($35)

  • 10Under(T/W evenings@ 6:30) June through July@ LA High School. This team is a member of the Winona County league and is designed to be the first step in an organized fast pitch softball environment.
  • 12Under(M/TH evenings @ 6:30) June through July @ LA High School. This league is a member of the Winona County league. The games will be played with pitching done by the players.
  • 14Under(T/TH evenings@ 6:30) June through July@ LA High School. This team is a member of the Winona County league. Games rules and regulations mirror that of a regulation fast pitch softball.
  • 18Under(T/TH evenings@ 6:30) June through July @LA High School. This team is a member of the Southern Minnie League. Games rules and regulations mirror that of a regulation softball game. This level is highly competitive and players must be committed. Practices start at the end of May and are called by the coach.
  • If needed and agreed upon by the Altura Youth Sports group Lewiston summer rec will combine with the Altura program to fill teams if you wish to not participate in a combined team your money will be refunded

Registration forms due by May 2ndfor the activities described below.* Activities will be held June 6–July 22. There will not be activities the week of July 4–July 8. Most activities are for both boys and girls.

St. Charles Pool
Meet at Lewiston Elementary. Fee includes bus trans-portation and pool admission. At least five trips, weather permitting. No refunds if you do not attend orfor weather-related cancellations. / T-Ball
Ages 5–6

Southside Park
First experience with baseball or softball. Focus is on fun and exposure to the game. Coached by staff and parent volunteers. Games played with equal participation in mind. / Flag Football

This program is designed to help kids learn the fundamentals of football. It will be outdoors on the High School Practice Field. / Volleyball

Exposure to the basic skills of disk golf. Learntechniques and how to play the game disc golf while learning the fundamentals. / Soccer

Participants will work on basic skills of soccer for the first 20 minutes each meeting, then divide up and play a game. / Basketball

Designed for kids to get together and work on basketball skills. Shooting, dribbling, footwork, and basic basketball instructions.

Designed for the dancer in all of us. The kids will be taught new moves and techniques during each session. This a great way to work on flexibility, strength, and to have lots of fun. / Friday Fun Days

A very popular offering, students will be grouped by age and taught golf fundamentals and etiquette by Summer Rec staff.
