COMMUNITY NEWS:

Parkway Trees

Kathy with Public Works has informed me that more dead ash trees will be removed after May 1st. Once they are cut down, the Village will come back and grind the stumps. The Village will replace them, but they cannot guarantee that they will be replaced this year (this year according to the Village means May 2015-April 2016). They have limited funds for this work and will do as much as they can. If an owner does not want to wait until the Village has funds to replace the parkway trees, an owner can replace them on their own at their cost, but must get approval from Public Works first as they have a list of approved trees.

Mailboxes

Please keep mailboxes maintained. This includes painting/staining, straightening them and fixing any missing or faded numbers.

Shutters

Please check your shutters to see if they need painting due to fading or peeling.

Architectural Approval

No architectural approval is needed if you are planting flowers or removing dead plants or trees. If you are adding a new flower bed or berm, then you must complete a Plan Approval Request Form. Also, any items such as fences, patios, landscaping, pergolas, etc need prior architectural approval. These forms can be found by visiting the website or the Clubhouse.

Dogs and Cats

No dogs or cats are allowed to roam freely per Churchill Rules and Regulations and also the Village of Oswego. Please keep your pets in your yard or on a leash and out of other homeowner’s yards.

Lawn Bags and Garbage Containers

Please do not store lawn bags or garbage containers outside your home. If they are visible from the street, you will receive a violation. Please store them in the garage or where they are not visible.

Street Lights

If you see a street light out you can call the Village directly at 630-554-3259or download the app Oswego Click n’ Fix and report street lights or other Village issues. The Village will need to know the address closest to the light that needs repair.

Pet Waste

Please be courteous of your neighbors and remove your pet waste in your yard in a timely manner. Also, if you are out walking your pet, please clean up after it immediately. Thanks!
