Each studentor pair is responsible for the following:

  • Characterization for the pilgrims assigned in a PowerPoint or webpage, or blog
  • Research on the genre, motif/ theme assigned, synthesize either a newsletter, blog, or pamphlet
  • Research the sin or vice assigned & present the info in a pamphlet, blog, or newsletter
  • All work must relate to The Canterbury Tales and your assigned pilgrims!!!

You must also include at least one image for each pilgrim and provide textual evidence for each pilgrim (line numbers and direct quotes).

Slides: Modern Day Character for each pilgrim

Your character must have a specific occupation and be described using 5 of the 6 categories above. Include at least 1 image that represents your character’s appearance and/or characterization and provide a title.

SCORING OF ASSIGNMENT:250 Points

Content/Accuracy/Relevance100pts

Points will be deducted if student does not contribute to the assignment.

Creativity50pts

Be original and creative! You must show thinking that is different and fresh; your artistry lies in presenting this project in a new way. Work must be aesthetically pleasing to the eye.

Neatness/ Organization50pts

Pieces must be organized, using the models provided.

Points will also be deducted for: lack of images, titles, grammatical errors, insufficient or incomplete descriptions of characters, and messy work.
