Con Ed Solutions – Demand Control Ventilation

Mechanical Engineer for the design of demand control ventilation for the Ted Weiss Federal Building, New York, New York. Project is in construction phase.

St. PetersHospital-Energy Conservation Study

Mechanical Engineer for the study of chilled water short circuiting issues, application of plate and frame heat exchanger, application of variable speed drives for condenser water loop, and replacement and control of airhandling units for kitchen area. Overall project payback was less than four years.

Jewish Home and Hospital – Greenwall Pavilion,

Study and Design of 300 kW Cogeneration Plant

Mechanical Engineer for the addition of three 100 kW cogeneration units and three 30 ton water fired chillers. Study included evaluation of energy savings, maintenance impact, standby charge calculations, and chiller savings (through use of absorption chillers).

Suffolk County District Attorney and Medical Examiner’s Office - Energy Performance Study

Performed site work and assisted in the design of the chiller replacement of two 600 ton chillers, new two cell cooling tower, chilled water pumps, condenser water pumps, and controls modifications.

He has a diverse background including all levels of energy assessments and auditing ( ASHRAE level 1 through Comprehensive Audits), design experience including central plant design experience (distributed generation, boiler and chiller plants), and varied HVAC design as well as project management.

Queens College New Science Building - Fume Hood Assessment

Conducted assessment of over fifty fume hoods in the new ScienceBuilding for this DASNY project. Evaluated opportunities to implement VAV (for lab and office areas), steam insulation, lighting modifications, and controls modifications.

NY Department of Correctional Services - Attica and Wyoming Prisons Energy Conservation Project

Lead Mechanical Engineer for steam system upgrade for entire Attica facility to facilitate using medium pressure steam primarily and shut down of low pressure piping. Designed 400kW cogeneration plant for the Wyoming facility.

Washington Gas – Retrofit of Existing Chiller

Mechanical Engineer for the design for the retrofit of the existing chiller plant at the US FDA Maryland facility with three, 600 ton, electric chillers, new primary and secondary pumping with new VFD’s, and a new 600 ton cooling tower. Project is currently in the commissioning phase.

Washington Gas – VFD Upgrade

Mechanical Engineer for the design of the VFD upgrade at the US FDA Maryland facility. Included installing new VFD’s for eight air handlers, four exhaust fans, and three hot water pumps. Project is currently in the construction phase.

Washington Gas – VAV Conversion

Mechanical Engineer for the design of a conversion to VAV for laboratory and animal spaces at US FDA facility in Maryland. Included installation of over 250 new Phoenix valves and Aircuity air monitoring system. Project is in construction phase.

Washington Gas – Exhaust System

Mechanical Engineer for the design of a new press exhaust system for existing equipment and future equipment at the US Bureau of Engraving and Printing in Washington, DC.

Washington Gas – Lab/VAV Improvements

Mechanical Engineer for lab/VAV improvements including addition of Aircuity air monitoring pilot program, VFD installation for eight air handlers each and eight exhaust fans each for buildings 37 and 49 at the NIH campus, Bethesda, Maryland.
