Beaton Bulletin

(Feb/March 2017)

The past two months have flown byand despite thieves stealing three bicycles and a push-chair a few weeks ago there is much for which we are thankful: We celebrated Colin’s 15th birthday by hiking up Mount Mulanje with six of his friends. Our camping kitchen is finally a thing of the past! We now actually have cupboards, a double sink and counters! Praise God. The rains have continued to fall and the crops are doing well. Our garden is looking lovely. Oursieve of a ‘tin’ roof has at last been sealed (well, almost). The children participated in the Hillview school triathlon again this year and all of them did brilliantly with Rachel winning her event for the fourth consecutive year. We all now excitedly await the arrival of Granny and Grampa Beaton on Saturday (with us for three weeks).

Lesley has been instrumental in the genesis of a new ‘Moms and tots’ group here in Zomba called ‘Little Stars’. She will also host next months home-schooler’s day. Ministry also continues for Robbie with the second semester at EBCoM underway (teaching {or learning] Christian Leadership and Church Administration), regular preaching opportunities and the steady development of Beracah Support Ministry.

Praise God for the graduation of Ps. Mbendera last week from the University of Malawi (Bachelor of Theology).

Ps. Chikodzera’s house in Ntcheu has a very good roof.

Helpful donationswere recently made to Ps. Makhanjere of the local Baptist Church, Ps. Pezo of Healing ministry, Ps. Yanduya (towards the purchase of a property) and Ps. Tamaona (ZEC).

Ps. Kaumphawi continues to work hard in the 2nd year of his Bachelors degree at George Whitfield College .

Ps. James has begun his Masters degree through UNICAF.

Ps. Louis is in his final semester of a teaching degree at Malawi AOG University.

Ps. And Mrs Dick are doing well on the DTS program at the YWAM base in Chigumula.

Ps. Chimbali’s roof is also complete. We hope to finish the entire house withinin the next six months.

Ps. Mphamba now has a good roof and is onto plastering the walls, ‘throwing’ a floor and building the veranda.

The roof repairs to the manse at Chirombo ZEC are almost complete (a happy Ps. Mulawati).
