Description: a teacher’s manual for incorporating asthma education into everyday classroom curricula in math, science, and language arts; developed through a grant funded by the Maternal and Child Health Bureau. The manual contains background information about childhood asthma, lesson plans, camera-ready worksheets, and a comprehensive resources section. The lesson plans are designed to teach children vocabulary and anatomy related to asthma, and to provide tools that can be used to facilitate good asthma management. They are designed for use in the classroom, but can be applied in a variety of asthma education settings. (Hard copy located at USC COEP)
