Chicks, Flicks, and Conflicts – Cydney Branch– Tuesday @ 4:00

Chicks, Flicks, and Conflicts is a group designed to create an environment that allows comfortable relaxation, sharing of ideas, and a chance to interact with other honors students with similar interests. We choose a movie to watch as a group and discuss the gender roles and interaction in the film. Most of the films do tend to be those with strong female characters but gentlemen are more than welcome and encouraged in order to get a more well-rounded perspective of the characters and how they relate to our societies gender roles. Enjoying a new film or an old favorite with people you enjoy hanging out with is a great way to get an hour of break time from homework and socialize with other free thinking individuals.

Come to Superhero Movie Group and enjoy a nice, relaxing hour watching some of your favorite heroes from DC and Marvel battle it out with their biggest enemies. And, when the fighting’s done, there’s always time for strategy—or, in this case, discussion! At the end of each meeting, a question will be posed about the portion watched for the day, and it’ll be your job to answer it! Friendly discussion is the goal for this super-power-packed activity, and we want you there to join us!

Walleyball- Mary Arnold, Melissa Covert - Thursday @ 1:00

Come join us at the rec center for Walleyball! The game is played like volleyball, except that it's inside of a racquetball court. This means you get to play the ball off of the wall, which provides more confusion, challenge, and best of all, fun! Some of the rules are a little different than in volleyball, but we’ll explain them when you come (hint, hint… come!). This is a great opportunity to meet more people in the honors program while de-stressing in a competitive, jovial environment. Make sure to wear your athletic clothes and shoes and be ready to kick butt!
