Advanced Diploma in Early Childhood Leadership (ADECL)

The ADECL is designed to prepare Senior Pre-school Teachers for the role of centre leadership.

Eligibility Criteria:

a)Be ECDA-certified as a Level 2 pre-school teacher

b)Have completed an ECDA-recognised diploma in early childhood care and education[1]

c)Have met the competency level forSenior Pre-school Teacher (with reference to the Skills Map[2])

d)Have completed the pre-requisite core course as identified and offered by ECDA[3]

All nominators are to ensure that the completed Official ADECL Nomination Form (saved as a Word file), together with the documentary evidence and compulsory additional documents, are submitted to ECDA via email at 27 April 2018, 5pm. An acknowledgement email will be sent within 5 working days to confirm receipt of the nomination submission.

Late, incomplete, hardcopy or cloud-based hyperlink submissions will not be accepted.

[1]The list of ECDA-recognised diplomas in early childhood care and education will be determined by ECDA, and will be subjected to review periodically. Some examples of current ECDA-recognised diplomas in early childhood care and education are:

Only nominees who have completed ‘Mentoring for Success (LMAMNFS14E)’ or ‘Mentoring for Professional Growth (LMAMFPG17E)’ will be considered for the October 2018 intake of the ADECL.

[4]The pre-requisite course is ‘Mentoring for Professional Growth (LMAMFPG17E)’ offered by Ngee Ann Polytechnic, previously known as ‘Mentoring for Success’ (LMAMNFS14E). Nominees who have not completed the pre-requisite course must register for ‘Mentoring for Professional Growth (LMAMFPG17E)’ via ONE@ECDA.
