12 / RESOLVED,By two-thirds of the Congress here assembled, that the following article is proposed as an amendment to the Constitution of the United States, which shall be valid to all intents and purposes as part of the Constitution when ratified by the legislatures of three-fourths of the several states within seven years from the date of its submission by the Congress:
ARTICLE --
SECTION 1:The Electoral College is hereby abolished.
SECTION 2:The President shall now be elected by a popular vote that uses an instant-runoff voting system.
SECTION 3:The Congress shall have power to enforce this article by appropriate legislation.

A Bill to Crackdown on Immigration Detention Center Sexual Assault

BE IT ENACTED BY THE STUDENT CONGRESS HERE ASSEMBLED THAT:

SECTION 1.All immigrant detention facilities will now be covered under the Prison Rape

Elimination Act (PREA) and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE)

employees will now operate under the same sexual assault standards as other

detention facility employees. This includes, but is not limited to, mandatory

reports on abuse.

SECTION 2.Congress shall allocate $100 million annually to The Executive Office for

Immigration Review to prevent and decrease court backlog.

SECTION 3.This bill shall be implemented at the start of the next fiscal year.

SECTION 4.All laws in conflict with this legislation are hereby declared null and void.

A Bill to Remove the Phrase “under God” from the Pledge of Allegiance

BE IT ENACTED BY THE CONGRESS HERE ASSEMBLED THAT:

SECTION 1.The phrase “under God” will be removed from the Pledge of Allegiance.

SECTION 2.Removed is to be defined as eliminated from the written and spoken Pledge of Allegiance.

SECTION 3.The enforcement of this bill shall be overseen by the United States Department of State and the United States Department of Education.

SECTION 4.This bill shall be implemented immediately upon passage.

SECTION 5.All laws in conflict with this legislation are hereby declared null and void.

A Bill to End the Arms Deal with Taiwan to

Fix Chinese Relations

BE IT ENACTED BY THE CONGRESS HERE ASSEMBLED THAT:

SECTION 1.The United States shall stop sending any weapons to Taiwan and any current arms deals between the United States and Taiwan will subsequently terminated.

SECTION 2.Arms deal shall be defined as the providing of military and defense weapons to Taiwan.

  1. This includes the most recent arms deal between the Trump

Administration and Taiwan and any future arms deals.

SECTION 3.This legislation shall be overseen by the Department of State in conjunction with the Department of Defense.

SECTION 4.This legislation shall be implemented immediately upon passage.

SECTION 5.All laws in conflict with this legislation are hereby declared null and void.

A Bill to Ban the Use of Solitary Confinement

8 / BE IT ENACTED BY THE CONGRESS HERE ASSEMBLED THAT:
SECTION 1.The use of solitary confinement as a means of punishment is hereby abolished throughout the United States of America.
SECTION 2.“Solitary Confinement” will be defined as the practice of isolating an individual inside of a cell for an extended period of time.
SECTION 3.The Department of Justice and the Federal Bueau of Prisons will oversee the implementation and enforcement of this bill.
SECTION 4.This bill will take effect on the 6th of June, 2018.
SECTION 5.All laws in conflict with this legislation are hereby declared null and void.

A Bill to Protect our Right of Expression via Electronic

Communicational Services (PREECS)

BE IT ENACTED BY THE CONGRESS HERE ASSEMBLED THAT:

SECTION 1​. The following amendments shall be made to Title 47 of the US Code:

A. Section 151 is amended by striking “reasonable charges” and inserting in its place

“charges fair and equal in all or any use regarding communication by wire”

B. Section 154(b)(2) is amended by inserting after subsection (B) “(i)​ If a commisioner

or person employed by the Commision is found to be in violation of any or all of

the restrictions placed under (2)(A) by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI)

they shall be given one month to (a)​ resign their spot in the Commision; and (b)

inform both Congress and the FBI of all ties and accounts of the company or entity

which has significant relations with the commisioner or member.”

C. Section 154(b)(2)(A)(iv) is amended by striking “; except that the prohibitions

established in this subparagraph shall apply only to financial interests in any

company or other entity which has a significant interest in communications,

manufacturing, or sales activities which are subject to regulation by the

Commission.”

SECTION 2​. Any company or other entity is identified to financial relations with an

individual specified under part 1B of this legislation is subject to fines no

less than 10% of their total net worth to the United States Treasury.

SECTION 3. ​ Net worth as defined by Section 2 shall be determined by the Securities

and Exchange Commision.

SECTION 4​. The proposal contained in WC Docket No. 17-108 is hereby declared null

and void.

SECTION 5. This legislation and all amendments included herein with the shall be

implemented upon passage.
