G. Distinguished Student Leaders- applications due January 31, 2017 (Seniors only)

  • Must have previously attended Fulton, check with Mr. Spivey for your application.
  1. Summer Camp Scholarships- most MASC scholarships are due 3/1. Gateway has 4 due in April.
  2. If you are interested in attending, this is the most cost effect way to get there!
  3. Summer camp is from June 11-16 at William Woods University.
  4. Registration deadline is 5/13. Cost is $350 per student.
  5. State Convention- March 9-11, 2017 at Mehlville High School. We will register our 6 delegates for the convention NEXT WEEK after our Officer Election.

J. 2016 STUCO Awards-We are applying for the following awards, but need more evidence of what we have done. We have several awards that we will be applying for over the next few weeks. If you have any photos or artifacts that you would like to share for inclusion in these awards please send any digital copies to Mr. Spivey at:

a. Special Olympics School of Character- applications due February 1st(Paris is working on this)

b. State Honor Council- applications due February 8th.

c. National Council of Excellence- applications due February 15th

II. New Business

A. Gateway 2017 Planning Meeting- Rashaun, Nikita, Alyssa, and Jasmine attended this meeting

1. Report from visit.

B.2017-18 Officer Elections- will take place next Monday at lunch. We will vote on google forms. Ballots will be e-mailed to all 9th through 11th graders e-mail on Monday morning. Ballots will be counted at 1:35 pm.

C. Special Olympics Fundraising- Polar Plunge is coming soon! (Video/Spivey)

1. Goal for 2017 is to have 12 JSH STUCO members participate in the plunge at Creve Coeur Lake on Saturday, February 25th.

F. Jefferson City Summit 2017- Wednesday, February 15th. Leaving 6:30 A.M. returning by 7 P.M.

1. Cost $30/student- Includes ¼ zip grey sweatshirt with left chest print or embroidery.

2. Only the first 20 students (in good academic standing) to bring in their $ will be allowed to take part.

3. Permission slips due to Mr. Spivey by our next STUCO meeting.

G. EOC Madness Fundraiser Game-Thursday, March 16th 3:30-5:00 P.M.

1. Seniors versus Teachers basketball game

2. Help needed asking for donations from local businesses and organizations.(Solicitation Letter)

3. This is the 16th year of EOC Madness at Jennings, let’s make it the best one ever!
