To Whom It May Concern:

It is my pleasure to provide a recommendation for Chelsea Adams as she prepares to continue her education after graduating from Tippecanoe High School (THS). Chelsea was a student in my Algebra II class during her sophomore year and is currently a student in my AP Calculus class. Chelsea has always been a very responsible and hard-working student and it has been my pleasure to watch her grow into the confident student that she is today.

Chelsea excelled in my Algebra II class, both academically and in class discussions. I could depend on her to work well independently and in groups with her peers. She was able to successfully work through problems, applying the concepts to unique situations while paying attention to details. She was always willing to help others in the group who may have been struggling. Chelsea chose to challenge her abilities this year by jumping from the non-accelerated mathematics track into the honors, Advanced Placement Calculus class. This has been an adjustment for Chelsea, but she has approached each day with a positive attitude and an excellent work ethic. While she may have started the course being behind in some content areas, Chelsea has never once complained and she has consistently put in 100% effort to catch up to her peers in the advanced class. I appreciate Chelsea’s attitude and her willingness to challenge herself, especially during her senior year. Further, I appreciate Chelsea’s readiness to participate in class and her dependability.

Chelsea extends her cheerful disposition from the classroom to extra-curricular activities. She is a member of the marching band, in which she is a section leader, and the symphonic winds. Chelsea is also an active volunteer in the community through Girl Scouts of America and through her church. She volunteers at the soup kitchen and the local food pantry. Aside from volunteer work, Chelsea also works part-time, demonstrating her strong time-management skills.

Chelsea is a respected, well-rounded individual. I have no doubt that she will have a successful college experience and will continue to do well in the exciting new challenges ahead of her. I will greatly miss Chelsea’s presence in my classroom next year. Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me or (937)667-8448.

Sincerely,

Annette Malott
