JOB STEPS
1.Installation:
-Therecommendationsoflocalauthoritieshavingjurisdictionmustbefollowed.ForrecommendedinstallationpracticesrefertoC.S.A.Standard8139.
Whenfiringtheunitin anenclosedarea,3squarefeetmustbeprovidedtoallowthefreeentryoftheairrequiredforoperation.
Forelectricalsupply,use3-wirereceptaclewith"U"ground.
Donotoperatetheunitinpartlyventilatedareaswithoutafluepipeorin closeproximitytocombustiblesurfacesmaterials
Installationclearances: Top-3inches;Sides-6inches;Burnerend-2feet;Dischargeend- 1Ofeet;FluePipe-18inches;Floor-Combustible.
2.FluePipeConnections:
-Whentheheaterisconnectedtoafluepipethefluepipeshallterminateinavertical sectionatleast2feet long.
-Horizontalrunsshouldhaveriseratioof1in1Oawayfromtheheater
-Thechimneyshouldhave.02"WCdrafttoensure safeoperationoftheunit.Wheredowndraftareliabletooccur,aventcapshouldbeused.
3.Generaloperatingsafeguards:

Troubleshooting Guide

1.Burnerwillnotstart:

-checkfuse(replace)- checkhighlimit(replace)
-checkmanualresetoilburnermotor-changesensor
-checktoensurenolightisreflectedtothesensor

2.Delayedignition:

-checkforproperelectrodesetting-checkthattheairshutterisnotoverlyopen
-checktheisolatorsforcracksorfora- checkthatthepumppressureisproperlyset conductingcoatofsootoroil; - changenozzle
cracks sometimesoccurundertheelectrode- checkfuelfilter-ifdirty, replacebracketcausingashortcircuit

3.Smokyfire:

-checktheburnerfanblade-cleanifdirty
-checkcombustionchamberforcracksorburnout
-checknozzle-ifclogged,it couldproduceanoffcentrefireresultinginasmokyfire
-checkcentrelegonnozzleassemblyto ensurenozzleiscentredinthe4"tube
-checkforloosenozzle

5.Mainfanwillnotcomeon-unitshutsdownonhighlimit:

6.Unitonbutcyclesonhighlimit:

-checkairflow- ensurebothductsarein- checkthatpropernozzleisinstalledplaceandclear - checkhighlimit
-checkpumppressure;unitcould beoverfiring
7.- Ifunit hasbeenresetanumberoftimeswithoutignition there willbean accumulationofoil inthecombustionchamber.Tilttheunitupattheburnerendtolettheexcessoildrainoutofthesecondarychamber.
-Allowunittodrainfor15-20minutesoruntil alloilhasdrainedout.
-Openelectricalboxandjumperfanswitchsothattheburnerand fanstarttogether. Therewillbeasmokyfireafewminutesuntiltheexcessoil,thathassprayedonthewallsofthecombustion chamber, hasburntoff
-Whenunithasstabilizedandtheburnersetuptooperateproperly,shutofftheswitch.Letfan cooldownthechamberandstop.Removethejumperacrossthefanswitchandclosethe electricalpanel.Theunitshouldoperatenormally-ifnot,referto#2.
