Innovation Award

Unique flair of creativity and innovation, your team have transformed the way in which an activity or a process is being run even beyond technology., Or, the internal audit department has supported the business in navigating through disruptive business innovation. Agile Technology Application in Internal Audit

This award is for individuals or organizations who have showcased their zeal for driving agility through use or introduction of technology or applications. We want to hear stories about how you have transformed an existing traditional approach or introduced or architectured a new Digital platform, or architectured a 360 degree tech driven value chain simulation, or introduced Advanced Analytical scripts or implemented spohisticated statistical assessments to disruptively drive business process efficiency or decrease business risk.Support your nomination with an executive summary & evidence (between 1- 4 pages)

Describe the benefits gained from implementing your solution.

  • Quantify results: cost-savings, people or time productivity gains, controls strengthened, processes streamlined, risk reduced, overall departmental or organization benefits received etc.
  • List measurable results achieved; cost-savings, recoveries made, productivity gains (weeks/days/hours saved), improved processes (manual to automation) etc.
  • Description of improvements to business processes as a result of your application/project/engagement.
  • The frequency with which your solution is used (i.e. daily, weekly, monthly, part of your annual audit plan, etc.).
  • What you are able to do now that you couldn’t before?
  • How this has helped your audit team/department?

Important dates

How many entries can I submit?
Each Firm or an individual from a Firm can submit one application; however, multiple Individual entries from one organization is also acceptable.

How will the winners be selected?
Each application is judged by a judging panel of IIA representatives. The judging panel will shortlist the candidates and may request additional information about their application.

Can I delete or change my entry after I have submitted?
Changes to your entry are allowed before January 3, 2018. deadline.

What is the maximum number of words for each question?
Word counts range between 100 to 150 words, depending on the nature of the question. Word limits are indicated on the form

Can I supply additional information and/or supporting files with my entry?
As part of the initial screening process, it is not necessary to provide additional files or technical documentation. We only require your responses to the questions listed on the entry form.

If you are short-listed, you may be asked by the judging panel to provide additional information about your innovation.
