2 APPARATUS INTRODUCTION

-If you you have problem in contacting with producing company and authorized service personnel;

·  It is regarded as out of warranty cover and responsibility belongs to the owner of the product.

·  The seal must not be removed. Removing of seal and setting of the product should be done by authorized service personel.

A.General Introduction

This booklet explains informations of using the product and it is prepared by the producing company to determine the appropriate usage conditions.

-Carriage,demounting and maintenance.

-Preparation and connecting the electric.

-Using the appropriate equipment.

-Maintenance.

. This booklet should be kept as long as the product is used.

. If it is necessary, it can be learned from this booklet how to do the actions.

. This booklet explains detailed how the user or service maintain.

B.Montage Introduction

. Follow the steps explained in related sections about preapration and making of electrical connections.

. Do the processes of starting, checking and maintenance due to the explainings.

. Montage and setting of the product should be done with authorized service personnel.

. After the montage, be sure that the nominal value of electrical feeding voltage is in between +/- 10 %.

C.Introduction fort he Authorized Service Personnel

. Do not go beyond scope of the explainings written in the operating manuel.

. Montage and setting of the product should not be done in the way of detuning the values and harming of the product.

. Before starting the product, check the montage whether it is right.

. Be sure that, the feeding current starts the product is in appropriate values.

. Be sure that, the place the product will be montaged is not detrimental for the product.

. Be sure that, the electrical feeding of the product is rightly done.

. Be sure that, the montage of the product is in the way the product works.

D.Maintenance Introduction

Remember the things below before maintaining:

. Before the maintaining, turn the product off and cut the connection of feeding current.

. Read the procedures about maintenance.

. Never use solvent that harms the painted surface. Clean with alcohol and a soft fabric.

5 PREPARATION of THE PRODUCT

. Packaging and Storage

After the taximeters are produced, it is sold in 320x2000x70 cm packages.

Choosing of the Working Place

·  Must be put a place where is easily seen from the customer and the driver.

·  Must be put far to the heat sources that make it work over its appropriate heat.

·  Must not be mounted a place where hinder the driver.

NECESSARY DEVICES FOR MONTAGE

Necessary devices:

1.  Side cutter (use to open apexes of the cables)

2.  Electrical band (use to isolate the connected cables that are opened with side cutter)

3.  Screwdriver (use for the screws that are in mechnical sensors)

MONTAGE

-Taximeter is montaged on the driving mirror.

-Anodes and cathodes that are in the intermediate connection cables (cut by side cutter) of taximeter are connected appropriately due to the type and structure of the car.

-It is checked whether electric current flows to the taximeter.

-If electric current flows, cables are isolated with the electric bands.

-If electric current does not flow, electrical and chassis cables should be checked.

SENSOR MONTAGE

If the type of sensor is mechanical;

Sensor must be connected to the apex of the speedometer came from gearbox.

If the type of sensor is electronical;

The apex of signal (pulse) of intermediate connection cable of taximeter must be connected to the signal cable came from the vehicle.

Taximeter is montaged where it is determined.

7 STARTING

FIRST STARTING

Turning On

·  When push any button gently, it is turned on.

Button Introductions:

1- PRICE BUTTON

- It is used to finish the tariff, when tariff was open. If the price button is pushed, the total price can be seen on the screen.

- It is used to turn to back to the FREE mode.

2- FREE BUTTON

-  When tariff is open, “free button” should be pushed in 5 seconds after pushing “price button” to close the tariff.

-  It is used to see the information screen.

-  It is used to reset the extra price.

-  It is used to see the record in turn, when tariff and K constant are in the record screen.

3- “OK” BUTTON

-  It is used to set the time and make it free mode in the time setting screen

-  It is used to enter the password to switch to the free mode.

-  It is used to switch to night-tariff or day time tariff in the tariff information screen.

-  By pushing it for 3 seceonds, the product switches to “stand by mode 2”.

4- TARIFF BUTTON

-  It is used to open tariff in free mode.

-  It is used to change the adjusted digit in the time setting or password screen.

-  It is used to see the language options in the language selecting screen.

5- “EXTRA” BUTTON

-  It is used to enter extra price, when the tariff is open. Extra price increases by units in every push.

-  It is used to change the digit in the time setting or password screen.

SETTING

Tariff Setting

·  When no 4 is pushed, taximeter opens an appropriate tariff due to that time.

·  Tariff time;

Between 06:00 am - 12:00 pm DAY TIME tariff.

Between 12:01 am - 06:00 am NIGHT tariff.

·  The taximeter automatically switches to NIGHT TARIFF after 12.00 pm and DAY-TIME TARIFF after 06.00 am.

·  If it is wanted to change the tariff instead of the existing tariff, no 4 button is pushed two times in series.

Pricing

-Pricing at the normal conditions

·  Distance price is added to the total price by taximeter in every distance covered (100 m.).

·  Taximeter does not add waiting price for the first 5 minutes.

·  After a 5 minutes waiting time, the taximeter adds price for every 30 seconds.

·  If the speed of the car is under speed threshold (10 – 15 km/hour ), the taximeter automatically switches to the waiting mode and starts counting time.

·  Although barely distance is covered in the taffic jam, after 5 minutes waiting pricing starts.

-Extra pricing

·  When the car is immobile, push no 4 for extra pricing.

·  When the taximeter is in tariff mode, push no 5 for openning EXTRA window.

·  Extra price increases by units in every push to no 5.

·  No 2 –free button- resets extra price.

·  After the course with extra price, firstly, no 1 is pushed.

·  On the screen, total price (distance price+ extra price) blinks.

·  If the customer objects to the price, it is possible to see the distance price by pushing no 4.

·  By pushing no 2, taximeter switches to the free mode automatically in ten seconds.

Turning off

·  By pushing “OK” for 3 seconds, the taximeter turns off.

Time seting

·  No 3 – free button- is pushed.

·  By the time “time setting” is seen on the screen, free button is pushed.

·  No 4 is used to increase the digit. No 5 is used to change the digit.

·  When the time setting is completed, no 3 – “OK” button– is pushed. Then time setting is being changed and it switches to free mode.

DATE ,PLATE etc. SETTING

·  All of the settings and tariff changings of taximeters are made with TETAS ELECTRONICS Hand terminal apparatus. The USB cable existing on the Hand terminal is connetcted to the setting connector of taximeter ( by giving reference in the picture ). These settings must be done, when the taximeter is in free mode and the car is immobile.

·  Setting of Pist Calibration

It is done wtih Hand terminal apparatus of Pist Calibration.

In the Hand terminal, from menu of A1 programming, Pist Calibration is selected.

“PIST CALIBRATION” is seen on the taximeter by selecting “YES” from approval screen and pushing “OK”. From that time, setting cable must be demounted and in 5 minutes the car must be driven. After 200 meters, by pushing “OK” button, pist calibration is being completed.

If the Pist calibration is abandoned, by pushing the button no 1, it switches to the free screen.

During the Pist calibration, the button no 5 resets the counter of pulse. After that, pist calibration can be started again.

Pist calibration is done in 200 meters and the counter of pulse must be between the values of 144 ~ 18000.

Accessing Information Screen

·  It is accessed by pushing Free Button.

·  It can be switched to the free screen by pushing the price button – no 1– from any informaiton screen.

With every push to the Free Button, these screens are shown in a row:

·  Date

·  Total Price

·  Total Extra

·  Full Road, Number of Covered Distance

·  Total Distance, Speed

·  Time Setting

·  Information of Tariff

·  Register of Tariff

·  K constant

·  Register of K constant

·  Plate

·  Region No

·  If “OK” button is pushed from the Tariff Info display, information of day time tariff is seen; by pushing the free button, the informations of day- time tariff can be seen in turn.

·  When it is in Day Time Tariff Info display, at the same time, if “FREE” button is pushed Night Tariff Info display will be seen. It is possible to see the night tariff infos in turn by pushing free button.

USER IDENTIFICATION

2 different users can be identified in A1 Taximeter.

These parameters are registered for every user:

Total Price,

Total Extra,

Full road, Number of Covered Distance,

Total Distance

For identifying a user, during the setting of taximeter from the Hand terminal; different passwords (except zero) must be entered to the taximeter for the owner, first and second drivers.

If the password of the owner is determinated as zero, it means that there is one identified user

If there are two identified users, password is needed when the first energy is given to the product or switching from stand-by mode 2.

The first or second user’s password is needed in the status of password.

The user, who entered his own password, is active until the product is turned off.

The active user can see his registered parameters. The password of the owner of the product is needed, if it is wanted to see the other user’s informations.

The owner of the product can delete any registered informations of any user. But the total registers can not be deleted.
