1)According to the finish schedule on A-2, the open storage, service bays, police storage and parks storage to receive no paint and the vinyl linear will be exposed. Will the ductwork, electrical conduit and etc, need to be painted or will these items be left unpainted?

Split face CMU - The specs refer to brick. Are these integrated color split face or paintable gray split face?

Yes, there will be no finishes on exposed ductwork, conduit, etc. in those spaces.
The spec for the split-face block will be in the addendum. It will be integral color block, not painted. Mortar will not be colored mortar.

2)There are a few dimensional discrepancies on Building #1 that I don't feel are a big deal for the bid - I think I see what they are shooting for.

However, there is a very signficant frame drift requirement discrepancy.

Attached are :

S1.0 : note drift requirement to be H/400.

S2.1: notes drift requirement to be H/240.

Also, if you can discern, S2.1 detail for the block wall on Building #2 appears to show reinforced wall (see attached S1.1). Will this wall then be self supporting or will it need lateral support spandrel beams with a column located at 25' mid-span ?

If you could please try to for sure clarify the drift, and if possible the Bldg #2 question, that would be very helpful. For what it is worth, H/240 is plenty good to protect the hardwall (non-metal) application.

Drift limit should be h/400.

The CMU is designed to span from the foundation up to the roof. a positive connection should be made to attach the top of the wall to the roof per 8/s2.1 and 9/s2.1 or some other means. No midheight support is required for the wall.

3)Please see the following RFI's:

- What voltage are the electric operators to be? In looking at the electrical drawings I do not see circuits for them.

- What type of safety devices are needed on the electric operators, electric edges , photo eyes or both?

- Drawings show low headroom track for the doors but it appears to have enough room for standard lift tracks. Please confirm if low headroom tracks are required.

Standard lift tracks are acceptable

- Specs has an allowance for brick veneer ($270 per thousand), after reviewing the plans it appears not to be any brick on this project. Please confirm?

Please disregard the brick section. The masonry veneer will be split-face concrete masonry with integral color.
