MAC User Setup Instructions for RDC

1.0Overview

1.1To set up your Mac to access the ClinDatrix RDC server, you need to do the following:

1.1.1As an Administrator, install a Citrix Dazzle Plug-in on your Mac.

1.1.2Enter a URL to create a Dazzle “Store”.

1.1.3From the Dazzle store, login to the ClinDatrix “CDXDMZ” server using credentials provided by ClinDatrix IT Support (866-445-2405).

1.1.4At the RDC Login window, click Reset Password to obtain RDC credentials via email.

1.1.5Login to RDC.

This whole process should take 10 -15 minutes. Follow all the steps below.

2.0Download and install the Citrix Online Plug-in for Mac

2.1Click download the Citrix Client on the “RDC Login for Mac Users” page.

2.2An installation window appears. Double click on Install Citrix Online Plug-in.pkg.

2.3Click Continue.

2.4Click Continue.

2.5Click Continue.

2.6Click Agree.

2.7Select a destination volume (disk) to install the application and click Continue.

2.8Click Install.

2.9Enter your Mac Administrator credentials and click OK.

2.10Verify that “Open Citrix Dazzle now” is checked click Continue.

2.11Click GET STARTED.

2.12Click OK.

2.13Click the Dazzle Stores tab.

2.14Click the + sign to add a store and enter the Store Name and URL.

2.14.1Store Name: Clindatrix RDC

2.14.2Store URL: note that it is httpS not http.)

2.15Click OK.

2.16The Citrix window within Settings should now show the ClinDatrix RDC as a “store” with the URL.

2.17Return to Dazzle Window and choose a store: “ClinDatrix RDC”.

2.1Enter the CDXDMZ login information provided by Clindatrix technical support.

2.1.1Please enter the user name in the format CDXDMZ\<username>.

2.1.2Enter theCDXDMZ password.

2.1.3Verify that add to the keychain is selected.

2.2Click Connect.

2.3You will be connected to the server and the following window will appear, showing an Internet Explorer icon.

2.4Double click the Internet Explorer icon to launch Internet Explorer. Note that this will take you right to RDC via Internet Explorer.

2.5The first time you launch Internet Explorer you will be prompted for keychain access. Choose Always Allow.

2.6The Mac User RDC Login Page will appear. Unless you are participating in User Acceptance Testing prior to official launch, click the All Studies button.

2.7An Oracle RDC Onsite login window will appear.

2.8If this is the very first login, click Reset Password. Follow the process and look for your temporary password in your email inbox.

2.9Return to the RDC Onsite login window and enter your study user name and password.

2.10You should select the study and site from the drop down box.

2.11For users who would like to add the Internet Explorer icon to the Mac Dock, perform the following steps.

2.12From the Finder, Open Applications and select the Dazzle folder.

2.13Expand the Dazzle folder in the right pane and drag the Internet Explorer icon to the dock.

2.14The Internet Explorer icon will now appear on your doc. To launch RDC, simply click the Internet Explorer icon on the dock.
