Grade News….

Words of Wisdom from Special Areas

Special Areas:

The students are excited about spring break. They are looking forward to playing outside in the sunshine the week of May 16 - 20. They have been working hard on academics since the first day of school. The students have learned to multiply, identify lines and angles, identify fractional parts of an object, name the planets of our solar system in the correct order, and identify the elements of a story. This is just a small list of their learning endeavors that they have encountered this semester. While learning about chemical and physical changes – the students took the opportunity to prepare (measuring and mixing the ingredients), cook waffles, and share their experiment with the speech teachers of Matthews and personnel from Central Office. A good time was had by all. After spring break, the students will continue preparing for the state assessment in full force. It has been a productive year of learning and exploring our environment.
