FIAT TOPS FOR FLEET COMMUNICATION

Fiat Auto (UK) communicates better with UK fleet operators than most of its competitors, according to the results of a top motor trade publisher’s recent survey.

The latest Fleet Operator Attitude Survey by Sewell’s shows that the quality of customer care and the way in which Fiat relates to customers and prospects is at the top of manufacturers’ ranking charts.

Fiat scores strongly for the Effectiveness of its demonstrator programme (80 per cent) and is also highly placed for the company’s Quality of advertising and promotional material. Fiat also achieved joint second place in the Competence of fleet personnel category, with 76 per cent – a leap of 17 places in just two years. In addition, Fiat was placed first in the Frequency of communication with you category and second in the Quality of written communications section.

Commenting on the results, Tony Dittli, Fleet Operations Manager, Fiat Auto (UK) says: “These strong results are the culmination of a great deal of hard work by our

fleet sales team at Fiat Auto (UK). The effectiveness of our communications can be attributed to the professionalism within our team, and the effort we’ve all put in over the past 18 months, focusing on presenting and communicating the benefits of using Fiat vehicles.”

Fiat Auto UK’s corporate fleet sales figures have increased significantly this year. In the first quarter compared to the same period in 2003, the company’s corporate fleet sales have risen by over 50 per cent.

The reasons for this increase are numerous, and include Punto’s continuing success and growth within the Public Sector market, which has catapulted Fiat into the top 10 fleet best-seller list (year to date, end of March); the launch of the revised Stilo range; a steady flow of new models (including the award-winning Panda, new Idea mini-MPV, and revised Doblò range) – combined with some of the strongest fleet advertising that the company has ever produced.

Fiat Auto has more innovative new models to come, including the revised Multipla, which will make its UK debut at the British Motor Show at Birmingham NEC, later this month.
