Requirements- ½ poster board, trifold brochure, PowerPoint or Prezi

All information on poster should be complete & thorough, but in laymen terms

Do not plagiarize- put everything in your own words

NO internet print outs of information. Internet visual aids are OK.

The project should include-

  1. The name of the disorder or disease
  2. A description of the disorder (what is it? /what is wrong?)
  3. Describe the symptoms of the disorder.
  4. Transmission: How do you get this disorder? How is it spread? What the cause or the risk factors?
  5. Diagnosis: How is it diagnosed or detected? What tests can be run to confirm the diagnosis?
  6. Treatment: How is the disorder treated? How do you get well?
  7. At least one visual aid – illustration, picture, photograph, etc. Internet print outs on this part are OK. If you are making a power point or Prezi, you need a visual with each slide/page.

  13. Your name, class period & date (on a slide or back of the poster/brochure) – 5 pts
  14. List of references (minimum of 3) – 10 pts

NOTE: You will lose 5 points per category (#7-11) if the information is plagiarized or computer information is just printed out.

You will lose 10 points total if you do not cite your references (minimum of 3)
